So overdue..
Ok, so I have decided (again) to take my overseas trip a little more seriously. I plan to go next year in June or July. I guess seeing as how I can now book it without going into any form of debt repayment whilst doing it, is why I'm considering it more or at least being more serious about it. One of the major apprehensions for me is always when you do something like this a whole year in advance - you never quite know where you'll be in life when the time comes to hop on a plane - alone - and leave the country for 2 weeks. But that being said, my apprehension to things has always been the reason I never do things at all. So who cares where I am, what im doing or who I'm seeing or not seeing (more likely the latter) - I have never been, and regardless of my circumstances at the time, an overseas trip to explore Europe could never be a reason to mess with or interfere with what life I'm living at the time. It needs to be done. So i'm doing it. If anyone's keen to join, flip - the more the merrier, I'd love it. But again, I can't keep waiting for others in order to do that which I need to accomplish out of life.
This is the option I'm looking at and I am quite happy to say it'll cover just about everything I'd want out of a first time trip experience. It needs to all be paid up by the end of next month.. So yeah, quite excited that I'll have 'got myself tied in' soon - so as not to change my mind (again) !!

Circle Ignorance
When you're going around a traffic circle, do you just pick the nicest looking exit when you get there? It certainly seems that way considering you haven't given any 'indication' of what you are doing.... Just because you're not stopping entirely, doesn't mean that you don't know where you are going. And if you in fact do know where you are going (very likely), please enlighten the rest of your fellow traffic circle people who are patiently sitting around waiting for you to come past (which you have indicated you are going to do by not having indicated), when in fact you just end up turning just before them.. Thanks douchebag... PS Learn to drive.

Not such a good idea.
What happens when you decide to do something coz it seems like a good idea at the time? Failure.. usually. Or regret. What happens when you have no trolley and think that carrying a million, 20kg items in your arms to the counter of a shop you don't frequent is a good idea? You have to stop twice on the way there to avoid slicing your hands open from paper ream binding plasticy thingies.. Finally, whilst trying to attempt the very long walk to the car in excruciating pain, all I can think about is.. 'how could I have done this better?', coz i am overheating, (wearing warm clothes on the hottest day in the world - ever) my arms are sore, my hands are being sliced into and I am walking toward the escalator with no free hands as though the motion of actually getting on is going to happen flawlessly..... Well, no, one foot on one step and realising I'd like to try and get my balance now doesn't exactly work when the escalator doesn't quite give a shit that you didn't think this one through... and as it's accustomed to do - it keeps going...sending more stairs at me and almost having me do the splits.. I eventually get it right, in 5 seconds - no thanks to any help other than my own adrenalin rushing to the rescue. All the while I'm the token white in the centre... What an experience. So I should've really just got into my car after seeing the client and gone to the trusty spar to get my shit, coz at least there I can wheel my trolley to my effing car. Sometimes routine makes sense and grocery shopping spontaneity is not the type of spontaneity anyone needs in their lives. Stupid escalators.

MacDonalds
So going through the drive-thru at MacDonalds at the beachfront seems to be the most entertaining experience I'v had the opportunity to be subjected to, honestly.. So mom, sis and myself decide we want ice creams, but unsure of whether we want simple soft serves, or the mad guys with all the bells, whistles and dipped flake :) Either way, we pull up to the newly devised 'talking screen' that will take our order. Now, with other drive-thru's, they have the food boards with all their meal options before the intercom, so as to give you time to decide what you feel like before placing your order or seeing what there is on offer, should you feel like pleasuring your appetite with something different from - 'the standard order'. If you go to a restaurant they don't take your order as you walk through the front door, or as they seat you, or even (wait for it) before you're ready to give the order. So MacDonalds thought that they would do it differently. Whether it be a prank, something they hadn't thought through (leaning toward this one), or simply believe it is the most sensible way to operate a drive thru, God alone knows... but it was friggin hilarious! If it wasn't a number of things after another which left me laughing my ass off coz I couldn't actually believe the audacity of this guy, I think then I may have got quite upset with this stupid little talking screen and perhaps jumped out my car and smashed it to a million tiny, unrecognizable pieces. But he was too much! We couldn't believe it.. haha. We pull up - 'Place your order please' 'Sure we're just deciding' (Board with menu after the effing machine - so getting first view of it now for the first time) 'Hello, hello' 'We're just deciding' 'Hello, Place your order now' 'OK, we want ice creams, which different types do you have?' 'We have lots... mcflurry's, sundae's and plain, can I give you one of each?' 'No! we just want to see which ones we want' (so we discuss) 'Order now mam' 'Can you just give us a SECOND to decide?!' 'Ok, I'll give you ten seconds' At that point we were almost dying with laughter at this guy. I was shouting over my mom, telling him to calm down and we'll order when we're ready and finally decided on 3 sundae's before he started shouting 'hello' at us again as if we had no idea he was there... I couldnt even look at him when we eventually got our order.... Macdonalds - Know what you want when you get there - Else you're in for a fight with a computerized box! True story.

Dreams
You know when you fear how something happening because you're not entirely sure how things will turn out afterward, or whether it will have good consequences or bad consequences? So you rather don't approach the situation or you don't rush it per se out of apprehension due to the bad consequences possibly happening. So you rather wait it out, so that when it happens, then well, it happens and there was no way it could have been avoided and now the consequences will be what they will be...... That's real life. Then there's your dreams.. where fear lives, but so does everything else which banishes that fear, like dutch courage, or disregard for others and all those other things that make you tackle every day situations that in your real life you might steer clear from facing. Funny how that is, but it makes for interesting insight into how things would pan out.. If only we could make them a reality if we decided it worked out quite cool.. hahaha, imagine. Anyway I guess this little burst or randomness carries reference to the dream I had, and thoughts that came about when I woke up this morning. But then again, it was just a dream.....
Keep the the dream alive........Hit the snooze button

Bigger picture
Not happy with things I've seen today... Makes me realise what I have and what I don't and what others have and don't. It saddens me further that we all can just carry on in our normal routine lives and not give a second's thought to the reality that surrounds us. This statement stands true to the things far and close to home... just thinking a little more about it.. and coming to terms with the fact that taking a dive into and living in that 'rabbit hole' where everything is peaches and cream isn't really real at all... Time to open our eyes I guess, or at least, I'll open mine a little more. Don't take for granted all that you have, and don't waste all your efforts on all that you don't...
