Paper jets
Where are we going and how are we getting there.....? Sometimes I know my destination and other days it changes. It reverts back from time to time, but the strange days are the ones where we're unsure of the destination. Destination unknown... so what... that can be fun right? Intriguing, exciting, why not? But how are you getting to the place of the unknown? Insurance on your feelings, maps for co-ordinates, helmet for a crash landing.............? I don't like not knowing where I'm going, but then again, I fall into majority I'm sure on this this one, as most people don't. What I can say though, is that if the destination is unknown, then the people in my journey to get there, had better be the best travel companions there are to me.... Coz we may end up in a crummy old place where things aren't in colour and our dream of the place is far from that, that we had anticipated.... In such a case, having had awesome travel mates that brought out the best of you in every which way possible.... would be solid enough to accept as our deserving part of the journey as a whole. if the ride was rough and the destiny shit, well...... let's just say live each day as you want it to be, that way no one else is to blame for the stones in the path........... if all else fails... make paper jets.

Mistletoe and Wine
The worst is over..... or is it? Well shopping for sure - that's all in my past. Thank Heavens... Today i chill, wrap last prezzies, watch Christmas movies and have a nice dinner with a good friend and her family... tomorrow my army of aunts, uncles and cousins will eat, drink and be merry and the day after we we unwind riverside..... with my dad... It's that time of year where whatever your problems are, the things you don't have, or things you'd love to have, people you need and those that aren't around anymore.... hurt the most. So it's safe to say it's the worst time of year for everyone who has troubles, but it's the best time of year also, if you are lucky enough to have some of what you would like through Christmas. So we're all mostly on par... but for the most part, if we just realise it's a time of giving thanks.... then we don't need to be sad or without at all, but rather look around and see what and who's around you....... we have more than we believe. I am grateful as I write this.... for the love I feel, know and see when I'm around family and friends... it reminds me of the good there is the world - when the rest of the year all we tend to focus on is the bad...
Merry Christmas readers, fellow bloggers, friends and whoever really........................ God Bless You All. x

Keen Fyxation
It's a special fixie and it's finally getting there..... I guess you could say this one is taking time... but in theory each new part and revamp thereof, has given it the deserved look and feel that it's intended to have in the end. I don't mind the time if when it's done I can say I wouldn't change a thing coz I waited to find the right parts etc, and made sure that I didn't sacrifice something coz I was in a hurry. So First was the Carlton track frame - gunmetal was the set colour from the point of inception, and so it was done, hahaha. Came out identical to the colour I wanted.... don't seem surprised - I was nervous at the fact that I was standing squinting outside the shop, with a coloured swatch in my hand and hoping it was how I envisioned it from before..... So yeah, all the same, I waited and it was perfect! Slight metallic shimmer to it, so it looks pretty sweet in the sunlight. Aerospoke arrived as raw carbon, and the moment I clicked 'buy' was one where I was kind of unsure of what I was doing... but didn't want to give up on it.. I wanted pink (hot pink), but right now, all that was being offered to me was something in the hope of becoming pink.... Not right, but potentially could be.. I didn't wanna give up on it that easily, so I thought, get it, and then figure it out when it arrives. Turns out painting and clear coating onto carbon fibre was possible and not too much of a mission either. So here we have it... The only 2 parts I have been sure of from the beginning - I have.... as for the rest, and the result... well let's see, some more looking around, some more time, and soon it'll be perfect. Got some parts laying around that I reckon will work, but holding onto them for now til I know for sure.

Getting on track......
So I think I might get the chance to take my track beast to, erm....................... the track, hahaha. There's a gymkhana on Sunday at scribante and although I am in no way ready yet for that, I have desperately been keen to see how my car goes on that which it was built and designed for. Track. So I'll just be taking it for what I hope to be a few laps after the gymkhana is over. Type-R - racetrack model....Though I had no idea that was the case upon purchasing it, because like all things I buy, I go looks before practicality. Because a lot of things can do the same thing, but the pretty ones look pretty while they're doing them... Like a see-through whistling kettle or heart shaped joie de voir chopping board..... these things look pretty while being identical in function. Wellllll, ok, not always identical per se, some things are pricey because they genuinely do toast your toast better and cut your steaks better bla di bla bla.. you can see where my other funds like to wonder, or at least would LOVE to wonder.... But back to my car, haha.... I didn't realise it was purely track built.. Yes it's not your average daily, I get that, and knew that, but the mere fact that I have something designed for a specific purpose and a place I tend to frequent.... it feels only sensible to go and test its capabilities. Aside from the fact that I love driving and speed, it's just the right thing to do. So on Sunday it will mark the date that I test it out.... gonna take it easy, coz I don't want to hurt this car before I dont want to hurt myself.... so you should know how careful I am wanting to be with it. But I have very trusty drivers at my disposal to help me feel comfortable and get confident behind the wheel of the s2k, because that is when I think the love affair will start to reach higher peaks.. Let's see.... keen, but very amateur. I am probably going to be needing a helmet too haha. But again, one that looks awesome.. but in this case needs to be practical too. If I'm going to be on the track, I need to be safe................. so holding thumbs it's as fun and adrenalin pumping as I'm expecting...

S2K Day.....................
So Sunday was already set to be an uber chilled day, luckily the weather played the part for that which I've been wanting to do all week..... clean and polish my car. I know that sounds ridiculous, perhaps for a girl....for me....? Whatever you may think you believe, I have massive respect for this car, and want to treat it, drive it, and maintain it the way it deserves. With that level of love for it, comes time and effort...... a whole 4 hours of it. Hahahaaha, so after 1x sunburnt back, sore hands and tired arms, she looked brand new... Was fun, time-occupying and relaxed as a Sunday should be. Not only did I get to clean the yellow beast, I took it for a long Sunday drive (top down) Was perfect weather for it, so I was pretty stoked about that. And not like a sunday driver aka driving miss daisy. We drove properly. Hahaha. Cool day in the end, buggered by the afternoon, napped, church and sunset drive home...................................... all in a s2k day

We're richer than we think...
Sometimes we spend too much time worrying about the things we don't have..... It's nice when I come across something that has the power to humble... This poster awoke a small, yet very important reality. It's that time of year where we should be grateful. Not always easy when we're fighting battles daily with certain things, people and accomplishments. But yeah, seems our desires blind our possessions. We should open our eyes a little more...

Tokyo, never ceases to impress.........
Article on dezeen.com - you'll notice my beast in the mix... haha
Speedshop Type One
We designed the renovation of a body shop specialising in Honda vehicles that would function as a repair shop as well as a display floor for visitors. The design calls for maximising the working area by thoroughly sorting out essential and non-essential elements with a focus on servicing functionality.
As elements of the interior design plan, we adopted material and expressive items that are both essential and emblematic to a repair shop, such as gray two-post car lifts, aluminum fittings and tool wagons. Care was given to treat elements that were originally present the same way as new ones, such as the aluminum canopy hanging from the top lights, push carts and the rough-feeling cemented excelsior board walls.
The design highlights the vehicles on display in the repair shop by using desaturated colors and common materials to adjust the tone of the space where the old blends with the new.
The picture of a shop with cars on lifts, exposed engines and tools is aimed at creating a functional yet slick-looking space that can serve as a promotional area.

Ambulance - dying to get in one!
I question humanity and on equal footing - the sanity of people, when our Ambulance services are now burning shit in the streets and refusing to work (and just to get you up to speed - their work involves saving lives). But the humanity in question starts at a deeper source of the problem, and that is with the people at the top who just refuse to pay the wages these Ambulance services deserve. Greed is tearing our economy to shreds when all the A-holes in power are constantly feeding their personal lifestyles over and above the lifestyles of the society that we live in. So now I am going to remember a little song that I sang many years ago when I saw an Ambulance... "Touch my head, touch my toes, I hope I'm never in one of those" Coz I sure as hell can't expect to get to hospital in time to survive anything physically traumatic, when my rescuers are dancing around flames and crap in the middle of the streets, singing songs. So Zuma, and all your corrupt cronies, if you could stop eating, marrying, flying and partying for even a month, I'm pretty sure we'd feel a difference, that's how exorbitant your lavish lifestyle affects us all down here.
Sincerely patient on a gurney
(All dressed up and nowhere to go)
Not sure who's more to blame... but have a look at these dumbasses who on every given day, drive our incapacitated bodies to hospitals..

Yellow beast, lil beast, Bumblebee, FPK............
".....From the outside, the 2006 Honda S2000 makes a clear statement that its primary purpose in life is to go fast. A gaping air dam in the front fascia; a long hood; sleek, angry headlights; and low sills down the length of both sides all combine to make it look like a caricature of a sports car plucked straight out of a Manga comic book. Once installed in the cockpit--it is more like a cockpit than a cabin--the race-car suspicions are confirmed. A red circular Start button cries out to be pushed, and the S2000's aluminum-capped six-speed shifter invites quick throws and quick acceleration. Like its 2005 predecessor, the '06 S2000 comes with Honda's 2.2-liter 16-valve four-cylinder VTEC multiport fuel-injection power plant, which manufactures a blistering 237 horsepower: for comparison purposes, that's more power than the six-cylinder Lexus RX 330 SUV...."
My review: It's super fast, all is wants to do is go fast.. it feels like something alive beneath me that's frustrated when I'm driving slowly but breaks free when an open road is in front of us. Has a mind of it's own, kinda like Bumblebee from the Transformers. It's quite small inside, but I'm small... So Con? Not at all, perfect is what I'd say. Exceptionally fun, big headturner and even more so when the top's down, though when the top's up - there are a few blindspots in the back that are considered minor issues. Pedals are tight, and the bumps on them don't allow for barefoot driving hahaha, kinda sore... but I can feel where the clutch takes better this way - being tight as opposed to not.. So it's all good. No cubby - good thing - keeping interior neat coz I don't leave anything inside. Interior is awesome, full leather, face and compartment pieces that cover up certain parts in the centre console etc, keeping it all super neat and stylish looking with the black and silver complimenting each other. Speedbumps aren't a problem, steep driveways are! Angling up and down into it though makes for no touching or scraping - so that can be avoided. Bumpy in town roads are annoying to be honest, I'd sooner drive a few minutes longer and hit the freeway between all my A-B trips. Boot is small, but maaaan does this car have plenty storage space. In actual fact, the amount of room under and behind the seats is quite surprising given the car it is, and the fact that they could be lower. But ya, plenty room, so no hindrance there either. Overall, it's super sexy, super fast, super fun and got a big love for it.... First time Roadster owner and no regrets yet...!
