We're richer than we think...

Sometimes we spend too much time worrying about the things we don't have..... It's nice when I come across something that has the power to humble... This poster awoke a small, yet very important reality. It's that time of year where we should be grateful. Not always easy when we're fighting battles daily with certain things, people and accomplishments. But yeah, seems our desires blind our possessions. We should open our eyes a little more...

Tokyo, never ceases to impress.........

Article on dezeen.com - you'll notice my beast in the mix... haha

Speedshop Type One

We designed the renovation of a body shop specialising in Honda vehicles that would function as a repair shop as well as a display floor for visitors. The design calls for maximising the working area by thoroughly sorting out essential and non-essential elements with a focus on servicing functionality.

As elements of the interior design plan, we adopted material and expressive items that are both essential and emblematic to a repair shop, such as gray two-post car lifts, aluminum fittings and tool wagons. Care was given to treat elements that were originally present the same way as new ones, such as the aluminum canopy hanging from the top lights, push carts and the rough-feeling cemented excelsior board walls.

The design highlights the vehicles on display in the repair shop by using desaturated colors and common materials to adjust the tone of the space where the old blends with the new.

The picture of a shop with cars on lifts, exposed engines and tools is aimed at creating a functional yet slick-looking space that can serve as a promotional area.

Ambulance - dying to get in one!

I question humanity and on equal footing - the sanity of people, when our Ambulance services are now burning shit in the streets and refusing to work (and just to get you up to speed - their work involves saving lives). But the humanity in question starts at a deeper source of the problem, and that is with the people at the top who just refuse to pay the wages these Ambulance services deserve. Greed is tearing our economy to shreds when all the A-holes in power are constantly feeding their personal lifestyles over and above the lifestyles of the society that we live in. So now I am going to remember a little song that I sang many years ago when I saw an Ambulance... "Touch my head, touch my toes, I hope I'm never in one of those" Coz I sure as hell can't expect to get to hospital in time to survive anything physically traumatic, when my rescuers are dancing around flames and crap in the middle of the streets, singing songs. So Zuma, and all your corrupt cronies, if you could stop eating, marrying, flying and partying for even a month, I'm pretty sure we'd feel a difference, that's how exorbitant your lavish lifestyle affects us all down here.

Sincerely patient on a gurney
(All dressed up and nowhere to go)

Not sure who's more to blame... but have a look at these dumbasses who on every given day, drive our incapacitated bodies to hospitals..

Yellow beast, lil beast, Bumblebee, FPK............

".....From the outside, the 2006 Honda S2000 makes a clear statement that its primary purpose in life is to go fast. A gaping air dam in the front fascia; a long hood; sleek, angry headlights; and low sills down the length of both sides all combine to make it look like a caricature of a sports car plucked straight out of a Manga comic book. Once installed in the cockpit--it is more like a cockpit than a cabin--the race-car suspicions are confirmed. A red circular Start button cries out to be pushed, and the S2000's aluminum-capped six-speed shifter invites quick throws and quick acceleration. Like its 2005 predecessor, the '06 S2000 comes with Honda's 2.2-liter 16-valve four-cylinder VTEC multiport fuel-injection power plant, which manufactures a blistering 237 horsepower: for comparison purposes, that's more power than the six-cylinder Lexus RX 330 SUV...."

My review: It's super fast, all is wants to do is go fast.. it feels like something alive beneath me that's frustrated when I'm driving slowly but breaks free when an open road is in front of us. Has a mind of it's own, kinda like Bumblebee from the Transformers. It's quite small inside, but I'm small... So Con? Not at all, perfect is what I'd say. Exceptionally fun, big headturner and even more so when the top's down, though when the top's up - there are a few blindspots in the back that are considered minor issues. Pedals are tight, and the bumps on them don't allow for barefoot driving hahaha, kinda sore... but I can feel where the clutch takes better this way - being tight as opposed to not.. So it's all good. No cubby - good thing - keeping interior neat coz I don't leave anything inside. Interior is awesome, full leather, face and compartment pieces that cover up certain parts in the centre console etc, keeping it all super neat and stylish looking with the black and silver complimenting each other. Speedbumps aren't a problem, steep driveways are! Angling up and down into it though makes for no touching or scraping - so that can be avoided. Bumpy in town roads are annoying to be honest, I'd sooner drive a few minutes longer and hit the freeway between all my A-B trips. Boot is small, but maaaan does this car have plenty storage space. In actual fact, the amount of room under and behind the seats is quite surprising given the car it is, and the fact that they could be lower. But ya, plenty room, so no hindrance there either. Overall, it's super sexy, super fast, super fun and got a big love for it.... First time Roadster owner and no regrets yet...!

National Idiot Day

Wow, wow (Christopher walken - 'wow') What in the name... of all things great... is going on today... It seems like every person and scenario I have come into contact with today, has either temporarily gone insane, or decided that talking shit is the answer for the problem I present them with. Not only have people become stupid over the phone, they have also become stupid on the road. The amount of people who never knew they were turning left at a traffic circle today set new records in the playing field of lucky packet license drivers. I spent what was close to 20 minutes on the phone with someone who didn't know what a 'margin' was and couldn't locate it when I told her it was to the right of the column she was looking at.... she then proceeded to tell me all the things she could read on the screen, and that nowhere did it say the word 'column'. At this point, I held the phone away from my ear, closed my eyes, took a deep breath and described to her what a column is and what a margin is and that by clicking in it, we will get somewhere.. As I said after 20 minutes she found the elusive margin and the next task was getting her to figure out what clicking and dragging was, I almost had a meltdown. Surely.... SURELY, my capabilities in the workplace far exceed explaining to a DFU the basics of left and right clicking in margins to select items in a list. OMFG. So these were upon the list of radical shit I had to deal with today. Our printer is also possessed. It says its printing - yet doesn't print a damn thing and when it does eventually decide to, it prints random lines all over the show, making everything illegible and hindering work being done by staff in the office. Patience is wearing thin at this stage, but I'm soldiering through.. If God is testing me, then hells bells I hope I'm scoring serious points, or something very rewarding is coming my way, coz this is next level shit. The cherry on the cake is when my rep in Umtata tells me he won't be making the Christmas lunch next week Friday, "because, um, my dear, I think there might be a funeral on that day". Oh really?? Might be? So what you're saying is that somebody in Umtata might potentially die this week, that you potentially know and the funeral is something you potentially need to attend? Great, completely justified..........., see you next year then. Pffft. That and the fact that his car that was in an accident 9 months ago is still at the panel beaters 'coz its a big story' he drove  a Toyota for f*sakes, there are no big stories that last that long, he couldn't afford the excess most likely and left it there... now travelling for work is 'inconvenient' when the request comes from me, (nevermind the fact that we cover every kilometer of petrol ever!) but on his side he's working flatout you know...... well unfortunately its inconvenient for me too, coz I have an S2000, and it's inconvenient to drive through King Williamstown in it. Sooooo sort that shit.

Can my phone stop ringing now, can drama stop flocking my way like fat kids to a cupcake store, seriously. I'm over today. Thank you. Hahaha, flipsakes............................

One step closer.................

I cannot take this anymore
Saying everything I've said before
All these words they make no sense
I find bliss in ignorance
Less I hear the less you'll say
You'll find that out anyway

Just like before...

Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
I'm about to break

I find the answers aren't so clear
Wish I could find a way to disappear
All these thoughts they make no sense
I find bliss in ignorance
Nothing seems to go away
Over and over again

Just like before...

Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break

Shut up when I'm talking to you
Shut up, shut up, shut up
Shut up when I'm talking to you
Shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up

I'm about to BREAK

What an absolutely EPIC night......! For so long Linkin Park was on my list of bands to see, and finally they decided to make their way down here. It wasn't even a question whether I'd go or not, just a matter of who was coming with me! Jeannine was game from the outset, so her and I planned a trip that was going to be another sweet as Cape Town vibe. So much was gonna be going down in cpt that week and weekend, and so many firsts all round. But Linkin park was brilliant.. We danced and jumped up and down and sang (pretty much shouting) to every number. Yip..... insane vibes!! Buggered after, but flip what a jol...............

Road trippin' to the place where memories are made

Cape Town vibes.................. Nothing quite like the feeling you get when you know you're headed to a place that makes you smile :) Not only was I going up with a newbie for my road trips, I was also doing it in a newbie too............. lil yellow beast took us to cape town in super cool and comfortable styles. Jeannine and I were warming up our voices the whole way there with 'caryn type' convo's and looooads of singing. Hahaha, ridiculous.... but was a cool trip for sure. Keen for my other buddies to pull into town soon too..................... :) Cape Town - everyone's doin it!

Hahaha, J9 getting action shots of my first roadster roadtrip :P

Little Beast in CPT, just chilling, maxing, relaxing all cool in Tableview :)
